Introduction to Meditation

In this session, you will learn THREE simple and effective techniques you can easily use then you need to take a step back from your troubles.


1) Isha Kriya - a 12-18 minute process which used the breath, the thought and the awareness to create some distance between you and your body, you and your mind, which is the first step to liberation. 


2) Namaskar Process: the simplest form of Yoga! 

This process uses a certain posture and the emotions to create a feeling of unity and peace within.


3) Nirvana Skatakam: this ancient mantra uses the sounds of Sanskrit to help you create distance between yourself and everything that is going on around you. We will listen to the mantra and learn how to chant a portion of it.

Stretch and Destress

Introductory Programme

Do you notice how as you go through different stressful situations, your body becomes stiff and tense? Would you like to go through the day feeling totally relaxed, independent of what is happening around you?


Once you understand the connection between your body and your mental patterns, you can use one to influence the other. By keeping the body free from tension, the mind can also be clearer and sharper, and you will feel lighter within yourself. 


This session is an introduction to simple yoga practices to help you start to experience that connection between body and mind, and to learn how to consciously stay free from tension.


The session is suitable for beginners, and you will immediately be able to do these practices at home or even in the office. 


The value you can obtain from doing these practices is immense, as you will discover when you do them for yourself! However, as I want to make some simple tools available for everyone, I am offering this programme for a token price, so that you have no excuse for not lowering your stress levels.

Strong and Supple Spine

Introductory Programme

Backache, headaches and stiff shoulders have become so common that people almost expect to have problems. Our lack of physical movement - sitting in front of computers for hours - does not give us the range of movement our body needs.


Without properly using the back and neck, flexibility quickly reduces, and this can cause all sorts of problems. You know that your neurosensory system flows through your spine. Everything that comes into your awareness through the 5 senses is transmitted through your spine. So, keeping the spine in good shape is essential if you want to be healthy and if you want to be capable of doing anything of value.


We will learn simple but very powerful practices that activate the whole region, from the base of the spine to the neck. Even in just a few minutes of practice, you will notice the difference in alertness and liveliness.


If you make these practices part of your daily routine - and you will learn how to do that - you can make back problems a thing of the past, and make so much more out of your life!

Feel like you're "Walking on Sunshine"!

If your physiological cycles run in sync with the sun’s cycles, your physical health will be great, your mental balance will be perfect, and your life will happen effortlessly.


We have all experienced waking up on a sunny day and feeling that anything is possible! Full of energy, we want to explore life to its fullest. Similarly, we all feel something stir deep inside, watching a beautiful sunrise or sunset.


We know that our emotions are strongly connected with the sun. It’s even there in our songs: “I’m walking on sunshine” “You are my sunshine, you make me happy when skies are grey” “The sun has got his hat on. Hip-hip-hip-hooray!”


Our trouble is that our modern lives don’t allow us to connect with the sun as we need to. Don’t you find it’s always sunny when you’re at work, but it rains at the weekend?! Losing our connection to the sun doesn’t just affect our emotions, but also our physical health and our mental balance.


Haven’t we all experienced moments when everything is moving in the same direction, and it feels like we can make progress effortlessly? But then on other days, it’s such a struggle. We try to move forwards, but something is pulling us back. We don’t feel in control of what’s happening either in the world or within us.


Depending upon what you’re aligned with, accordingly your ability to perceive, experience, and perform in life functions. Yoga is a scientific process of alignment, of getting everything pointing in the right direction, and it happens on many levels.


Surya Kriya is a way of aligning with the sun. If you are in tune with the cycles of the sun, then physical health, wellbeing, vitality, and energy are just there with you. In this programme, you will learn the ancient yogic practice of Surya Kriya. You will leave capable of practicing by yourself at home.


As you practice, you will also get many side benefits: a more toned and flexible body, a stronger back, increased balance and flexibility, balance in hormonal levels. The way it trains your mind, there are few parallels to it.

Surya Kriya: a participant sharing


"It has been a very powerful process and I have noticed small changes within myself inthe time since. I think the most noticeable change was happiness. My baseline level of happiness is much higher. Sometimes I feel an intense happiness for no reason at all!

Yogasanas are static postures through which the very way you think, feel, understand and perceive life can be enhanced. A huge transformation is possible in just a few days. 


Over the course of the programme, we will learn a sequence of asanas that includes standing, lying down, sitting and inverted postures, plus a kriya and cleansing processes. This is a comprehensive programme - you will leave capable of doing the sequence by yourself at home.

Bhuta Shuddhi

Purify the 5 Elements within you

Mantra Yoga

Nirvana Shatakam

According to modern science, the whole existence is a vibration. A vibration is fundamentally a kind of sound. This essentially means that the whole existence is an amalgamation of sounds. In the yogic system, a few of these sounds have been identified as keys to access deeper dimensions life. 

Nada Yoga uses the power of sound to activate a particular kind of energy in different parts of the body, bringing a lasting sense of inner pleasantness. This science of benefiting from certain sounds is a powerful possibility, which when transmitted with the necessary basis and sanctity, creates tremendous wellbeing.


Nirvana Shatakam is an outstanding composition by Adi Shankara. Chanting this mantra helps to create distance between what is you and what is not you. 

Nirvana Skatakam is chanted daily in the ashram during Sadhguru's "Presence Time". It is also chanted during the powerful monthly Pancha Bhuta Aradhana process and at Mahashivratri.

In the tradition, yogis invested their energies into creating spaces where simply being there was beneficial to people. These were places not to pray for something, or to someone, but simply to soak in the good energy before going about the day.


Sadhguru is a yogic master who maintains this tradition, and creates consecrated objects which energise whatever space they are in. I am honoured to have several of these in my home. Just sitting in stillness with them opens up new possibilities.


Weekly, I do a process (called Sannidhi Guru Pooja) to maintain these energies, and sometimes I invite people to experience it. You don’t need to “do” anything – just be open and aware and see what happens.
