Why yoga?

"I'm looking for more in my life"

As a human being, whoever you are, you want to be a little more than what you are right now. We want to live life to the fullest, to be fulfilled at work, at home, and in relationships. We are all looking for whatever we imagine would enhance our quality of life. The trouble is that most people are looking in the wrong places.

If I gave you a box and told you that inside the box was a piece of technology that could bring you health, energy and bliss, would you look inside? For sure, you wouldn’t want to miss out on that.

In fact, you already have the technology. The trouble is that you have never read the user manual!

Discover the greatest gadget on the planet

Your own system is the most sophisticated piece of machinery and technology on the planet. It embodies the highest level of mechanics, the highest level of electronics and the most sophisticated electrical circuitry that you can imagine. Every other machine on the planet has come out of this.

All you need to do is to “look inside” – to look inside yourself -  and you will find all the answers you are looking for. Just as there are technologies to make our external life more comfortable, there

are scientific methods which can open up a new dimension of life,   so that you can live magically, not miserably. This is yoga.

Yoga is a tried and tested science for human wellbeing. It’s not an exercise. You don’t need to be flexible to learn it. It’s not a religion. You don’t need to believe anything. All you need is to dedicate some time, and to do it in a conscious and committed way. Then, it works.

How can yoga help when I’m looking for more time?

Hatha Yoga uses your body to work on your energies. When you activate energies that are dormant within you, you can become more efficient and productive. Your need for breaks – and even sleep - can reduce, and you can stay focused for longer. So, although time doesn’t actually change, the amount you can achieve in a given period of time can increase.

When you start to feel more joyful, and are actively involved in what you do, you can that find those tasks which now exhaust you, because you hate them, can be done effortlessly. This leaves you more time and energy to explore other things.

Can stretching really improve my focus and concentration?

Both the neurological and the energy systems branch out in a big way between the shoulder blades and above. So, keeping the neck region in a good condition is very important. Practices to loosen the neck and shoulders can bring more alertness and a higher level of neuronal regeneration. Memory and intellectual sharpness can also improve.

You know that your neurosensory system flows through your spine. In yoga, it is understood that by nourishing the base of the spine, the development and activity of the brain can be greatly controlled and enhanced. There are specific practices to do this.

Is it true I can change my emotions by doing yoga?

You must have noticed in your day to day life that depending on how you are feeling, your body posture changes. If you are happy, you sit one way. If you are depressed, you sit another way. When you go home, whoever is at home, you can almost tell, just by looking at them, what’s happening within them, can’t you?

In yoga, knowing this relationship between the body and the emotions, we use certain postures to influence the way we feel. Just by holding your body in a particular posture, the way you think, feel and experience life can be altered.

These are just a few examples of how you can use yoga to recreate yourself, to become the person you want to be.

This possibility is not just for an elite few. It's equally possible for everyone, no matter what their age, background or experiences.

     Why not you?
